Clothes Line of Hope
The St. Gregory Outreach Team is sponsoring a Clothes Line of Hope in order to create Welcome Baskets for “For Goodness Sake” on Riverside Ave, in Bristol. “For Goodness Sake” helps those who are homeless for various reasons to transition to independent living. The Clothes Line of Hope works like the giving tree. Tags with various items needed to create welcome baskets will be hung from the clothes line on the side of the altar during the first 3 weekends of October (Sept. 30th to Oct. 15th). Parishioners are encouraged to take a tag, purchase the item and place it in the laundry baskets that will be at the base of the Clothes Line.
BENEFIT BREAKFAST FOR BRIAN'S ANGELS
A benefit breakfast for Brian's Angels Homeless Outreach was held on September 17th at the CCD Center.
Brian's Angels Outreach provides a place for the Homeless to get out of the elements every afternoon, so they can rest, take a nap and get a snack. It is a totally volunteer organization. Every dollar they receive is used to help the clients.
In addition to the money raised, we brought some trays of ham, sausage and potatoes, as well as bread to the Outreach Shelter that day, so they will have a hot meal for lunch.
